It’s very easy:

1. Arrange a COVID-19 (PCR) test at a BIOIATRIKI’s diagnostic center or at an Athens Medical clinic through the form above. You may select the passengers of your booking who want to get a test done.

2. Complete the payment and you will receive a confirmation email from AEGEAN, in which a code and a QR code are included. You will need to present the code and QR code, along with your ID/passport, to do your test.

For COVID-19 diagnostic tests conducted on Monday-Friday, the results are sent via email until the end of the next working day. For Saturday and Sunday, results are sent on Monday. The test results are not sent on national holidays. In case passenger does not receive the result within above period, passenger should contact BIOIATRIKH diagnostic center that they performed the test to ensure the results’ delivery.

You will also, receive an email with a promotional code of 10 EUR value, which can be redeemed on your next flight. The promotional code is valid for 1 year from the payment.

1. What kind of test is the COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test?

The COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test is a molecular detection test. The molecular method of PCR analysis is based on the detection of viral particles. A certain number of viral particles must be detected for a positive test result. The test detects only antigen, not antibodies. The PCR molecular examination performed in the Laboratories of the collaborating therapeutic-diagnostic clinics has a method specificity of 100% and a method sensitivity of 99.17%.

2. Which criteria should I meet in order to purchase a diagnostic COVID-19 test through AEGEAN?

When you purchase the COVID-19 diagnostic test, you need to have an active booking reference (PNR) for a ticket that you have purchased from an AEGEAN and/or Olympic Air point of sale (aegeanair.com, olympicair.com, call center, airport) or through a travel agency (online, offline). The active booking reference means that there is at least one upcoming flight included, that has not been flown yet. Your flight must be operated by AEGEAN, Olympic Air or by a partner airline (codeshare flight).

3. How do I purchase a COVID-19 diagnostic test through AEGEAN?

4. How can I schedule my appointment at a Bioiatriki diagnostic center or at Athens Medical clinic?

During your purchase of the COVID-19 test through the online form at aegeanair.com, you must choose your desired date and time range for your appointment.

5. When should I do the COVID-19 test?

We suggest that prior to selecting the date of your visit, you must check if you are required to present a negative PCR test upon your entrance at the destination country, as well as how many hours before it must have been taken place. 6. Which are the available diagnostic centers to do the COVID-19 PCR test? 

Υou can do the test at the available diagnostic centers and clinics of BIOIATRIKI in Athens, Thessaloniki, Chalkida, Rhodes, Corfu, Chania, the diagnostic center of Asklipios Diagnosis in Heraklion, Crete - which collaborates with BIOIATRIKI Healthcare Group -, the available clinics of Athens Medical Group in Athens and Thessaloniki and at the specially designed areas by BIOIATRIKI Healthcare Group at Athens International airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” and at Thessaloniki airport “Makedonia”. 7. Which documents should I present upon my visit at the Bioiatriki’s diagnostic center or at the Athens Medical Clinics?

Upon your arrival at the Bioiatriki diagnostic center or at the Athens Medical clinic, you must present your unique code and your QR code (you receive in the email you enter in the form), as well as your ID or passport. 

8. How long does it take for the results to be issued and how do I learn about my test results?

The results will be sent to the passengers that got tested the latest 24 hours after the test - no communication takes place on Saturdays after 15:00 pm, on Sundays and on national holidays.  

9. Can I cancel my COVID-19 test purchase? 

If you do not wish to do the COVID-19 test for any reason (and your flight has not been canceled or will not be canceled), then you may cancel your test by contacting AEGEAN Customer Relations by clicking here to ask for a refund. You need to have the COVID test code - which is sent to you via email - available in order to include it in your request. You may cancel the test within fourteen (14) days from purchasing the test and before the date you have scheduled your appointment. 

10. If my upcoming flight gets cancelled or if I voluntarily cancel my ticket, can I still get tested for COVID-19?

Yes, provided that you have already purchased the test, you may get tested regardless if the flight takes place or not - even if the flight gets cancelled or if you voluntarily cancel your flight. 

11. Can I change the date of my appointment?

Yes, you can change the date of your test appointment, by calling the call center of the Bioiatriki diagnostic center or the Medical Center clinic that you have booked your appointment at.

12. If my flight gets cancelled, what should I do?

If your upcoming flight get cancelled, you can:

• Either contact the call center of the Bioiatriki diagnostic center or the Medical Center clinic that you have booked your appointment at and change the date of your appointment,
• Or you can cancel your appointment by contacting us here, in order to apply for monetary refund for your COVID-19 test. You need to have the COVID test code - which is sent to you via email - available in order to include it in your request.

13. Can I get tested even after the date of my flight? Until when?

Yes, you can. The only prerequisite is that when you purchase the test, your booking reference (PNR) is active. You can get tested up until one year after the date of the test purchase. 

14. If a passenger included in my booking reference (PNR), doesn’t want to get tested, can I purchase a test only for myself?

Yes, during the purchase of the COVID-19 test, you may purchase the tests for the passengers who want to and are included in the same booking reference (PNR).

15. How many tests can I purchase for myself?

You may purchase and get tested as many times you wish, the only prerequisite in order to purchase a COVID-19 test through aegeanair.com, is to have an active booking reference (PNR) when you purchase the test. If you wish to purchase more than one tests, you must first complete the purchase for your first test, and then re-enter the form to purchase the additional one.

16. Which is the minimum age to be eligible to get tested? Can infants get tested?
